In 2005, Bombay Amusement Rides P Limited started manufacturing trains, trams, thrill rides, and roller coasters. As an Indian amusement ride manufacturer with international expertise, we aim to make amusement park visits safe for everyone. Our impeccably designed rides complement amusement park standards across the world.
Bombay Amusement Rides P Limited is proud of installing over 300 joy rides across Amusement Parks, Water Parks, and FECs worldwide. From large theme parks to medium and small-sized regional amusement parks, we have served clients of all scales with best-in-class amusement rides.

Our Team
P Sharma (Chairman)
The inspiring journey of Mr. P Sharma began as an Electronics Engineer at Liberty Footwear Ltd. in 1981. Till 1998, P Sharma consistently polished his skills as an engineer and bagged many accolades. He gained interest and experience in the amusement industry as he traveled across the globe.
P Sharma took his entrepreneurial leap of faith and established Bombay Amusement Ride (P) Limited (BARPL) in 2005. He is credited with bringing India’s first four-wheel turning system (people movers) to fruition.
In March 2018, P Sharma’s rich experience in the amusement industry was recognized. He has been officially appointed as the President of the Indian Association of Amusement Park & Industries (IAAPI) to pave the way for a brighter future for the amusement industry pan-India and internationally.

Sanjiv Mehta (President)
Mr. Sanjiv Mehta is another visionary leading the remarkable journey of Bombay Amusement Rides P Limited. He has an inspiring career trajectory. A post-graduate from the School of Economics at Panjab University Chandigarh, he boasts over 40 years of experience in IT and other industries.
He worked for renowned companies such as Network Limited (an HCL Group Company), Phillips India, and Pertech Computers Ltd. before co-founding Cirrus Electronic Systems Limited in 1992 and taking up the position of Managing Director until his successful exit from the venture some 25 years later.
In 2017 Sanjiv joined BARPL as President and continues to guide the company on its journey to glory. He is currently an Advisor to the IBM Innovation Centre for Education & Member Advisory Board of the Pune University Research Park Foundation. His impressive professional accomplishments and decades’ worth of expertise are great assets for the amusement ride industry.

Bombay Amusement Rides P Limited has earned a reputation for excellence with an impressive list of awards.
- In 2011-12, we bagged two prestigious National Awards for Excellence.
- Sky Swinger won the ‘Most Innovative/New Product or Innovation in an Existing Ride’ category.
- Bombay Sky Copter won the ‘Best Product in Dry Rides’ category.
- In the Year 2013-14, BARPL’s Bullet Train received the National Award for one of the ‘Best Dry Rides’.
- Our most recent success is the “Bombay Drop Tower”. It is a critically acclaimed 32mtr free-fall tower launched during IAAPI Expo 2018, held between 27th February to 1st March.
- Won the prestigious National Awards for Excellence at IAAPI Amusement Expo 2016-17 for its meticulous work in the manufacturing process and delivering quality service to its clients, uplifting the industry standards to the international level.

- February 2024- The Bombay Ferris Wheel won The Most Innovative Dry Ride.

Safety and top-notch quality have been the bottom line of all rides we have manufactured. All BARPL rides follow the highest safety norms – EN 13814. Each ride passes numerous safety and quality tests, including NDT (Non-Destructive Tests).
In addition, we provide TUV/ASTM certifications on request. We at Bombay Amusement Rides P Limited strive to achieve unparalleled quality and adhere to stringent safety and reliability standards.
- Bombay Amusement Rides P Limited is (American Welding Society) AWS and CWF certified.
- We conform to D1.1 welding standards and offer a comprehensive range of pre-fabricated structural steel.
- Bombay Amusement Rides P Limitedte Limited’s 5,40,000 square feet manufacturing unit is fully mechanized. The material handling system comprises 5-Ton EOT cranes and a 12 Ton Hydra mobile crane. All products are painted at our stand-alone painting facility.
